Bed leveling help

Where could that front left corner height possibly be coming from?

The scan prior to this one was of the other side of the sheet and it was showing 0.6 in the same location, front left corner. To eliminate sheet warp as a cause I flipped it over an got the results below, but there's still a huge peak at 0.45. A straight edge across the bed from this corner in multiple directions doesn't reveal anything alarming. A straight edge across the carriage also doesn't reveal anything alarming and there's no stray material on top of the carriage in this corner.

What am I missing?

Re: Bed leveling help

Hi Christian, is this measurement taken with the bed cold or in „heated for PLA or PETG or ABS condition“?
I saw different effects on my maschine due to thermal expansion ... and others were mechanical ones, like how I built the frame or 2 linear bearings on left side and only 1 on the right side or different seatings of those bearings in the x-tray (is it called like that? not sure...) ... or the bearing-to-rod tolerances.

Just some ideas ... in the end I went to „adjusting the heatbed with the Nylock MOD“.

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks Mark. This is cold, PLA setting. Definitely considering the Nylock level method. Also considering shims too. Either way, some sort of mechanical leveling method. Although, besides that front left corner the bed is already pretty damn flat.

Just for comparison sake I plan to use a dial indicator to measure flatness to see if the measurements match up with the graph.

Sounds good - and it would be cool if you could share some pictures with us when you setup and perform the measurements.

Mechanical adjustment and then the 7x7 bed leveling routine with the modded 3.5.1 FW did the trick towards a perfect 1st layer for me ...
