Upgrading Drivers

Hi All,

After having reading a bit on using the Trinamic 2130s I am wandering if anyone has put any thought into this on the mk2.5. As the firmware is supposedly being unified, would the mk2.5 firmware support this without too much tinkering?

Cheers
Ryan

Re: Upgrading Drivers

You need more than just firmware work. The steppers and drivers just won't properly work at 12volt. You need 24 volts.

Can you define what you mean by properly? 2130s will function at 12volt they just dont have the same level of performance. I am not sure what I would be sacrificing over the standard rambo drivers though.

From what I can see stealthchop is limited at higher movement speeds at which point you would just get your firmware to switch over spreadcycle mode.

I am just going on some random testing done, and this was done on the TMC2208 not the 2130 so the 2130s might behave differently? https://automobilrevue.net/v/R1ZzMmQtVE9pbXM
