unable to install nozzle on MK3
I print most parts with .25 and .6 nozzles, and over time filament seems to have built up around the inner thread of the hotend where the nozzle threads in. Each time I swap the nozzles, it seems more difficult to install. I might have not tightened the nozzle enough once which could have caused some leakage (but I'm not sure)
Now, while swapping nozzles, I am unable to thread the new one. I've tried cleaning out the threads with a steal brush and even tried a brand new nozzle. And now I think I might have cross threaded it some...
Is there a way to resolve this? I could take off the extruder and attempt to re-tap the threads. Or should I just buy a new extruder?
Now down a rabbit hole... If I buy a new one, should I go the route of purchasing a Volcano to maximize a .8mm nozzle and make the upgrade now? I print mostly PETG for mechanical/structural parts, but also some PC and soon Nylon. This printer is in an enclosure, I have an second i3 MK3 with another 3rd in route with with a Mini which I plan to use for .25 detailed work, so I'm all for having different printers with unique setups. For now I plan to keep using PrusaSlicer.

I had this happen. When working on the hotend, I was able to heat the block up and simply thread the hotend through a few times to clear it. An appropriately sized bolt should work. A tap should also work.

You could either install a brass threaded insert or replace the heater block. The nozzle should be securely and tightly screwed into the heater block so that it does not leak.

I took your advice and used a M6 tap to clear it out when it was preheated. that did the trick, thanks!
