This just happened yesterday. My bed would not heat up when I tried to run a print. After a bit of investigating, I noticed that the connector for the printing bed was melted onto the Rambo board. Using my multimeter, I found that there was a short between the Vcc and GND terminals (see photo above) on my printing bed.

I am wondering if this okay? and if there is a circuit diagram I can reference to troubleshoot this issue to make sure this doesn't happen again.

The heatbed is almost a short circuit, so that is probably correct.

what has possibly happened is that the plug and socket have worked loose... and the connections have gone higher resistance which can cause heating.

Some folk replace the plug and socket with similar items, others use high power connectors like XT60 connectors

If your printer has been running for a long time, it is probably worthwhile replacing the heatbed cable whilst you are working on it. 16AWG or 14 AWG flexible silicone insulated wiring is an excellent replacement. 14AWG has the higher power rating. 16AWG is adequate...
