Multi material use cases?

Besides adding multiple color to objects, what other applications would the MMU benefit from? Prusa's MMU showcase simply have pictures of "toys"...

The ability to use dissolvable supports is what attracted me.

making circuit boards (high resistance, but works)

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Hi Chris,

which conductive filament do you use?

I have a roll of 'YS filament', conductive filament and it won't pull into my MMUv1, as the filament has poor strength and breaks due to the friction in the PTFE feed tube... really disappointing!

Re: Multi material use cases?

the proto pasta conductive, it works, abit of resistance, and abit brittle. and I haven't gone hog wild with testing it. without having a MMU. https://www.proto-pasta.com/products/conductive-pla?variant=1265211460 you can order a 125 gram to test.
everything proto pasta makes is neat. it's like printing butter.

it never broke off while printing. just after it was printed. (never make a spring AA battery holder out of it)

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Other than adding various shading to objects, what different applications would the MMU profit by? Prusa's MMU exhibit essentially have pictures of "toys"...

@varzoheydi

inserting flexible hinges in solid prints.

using dissimilar filaments for supports.  PVA and BVOH are the commonly considered options. but PLA and PETG, don't bond well, and I believe there is a filament called scaffold... which is intended to break free easily too

I use mine for personalisation of sporting goods...
