Diagnostic program

I have just changed my hotend for the third time. Each unit fails to heat the nozzle above 160 degrees. The connections are all as required, fuses are good and the hot end passed the selftest three out of four times. This last time, I get the thermistor disconnected message. Nothing is wrong with the connections. I have the latest firmware for the Mk2. Is there a way for the computer to diagnose board problems? I have had the printer now for 6 months and this is the first catastrophic episode.

RE: Diagnostic program

Check the connectors to the hotend and PSU. If they are loose excessive voltage drop could prevent the hotend from getting enough current to heat.

One question: When assembling, have you made sure that the heat sink doesn't touch the heater block? Have you assembled it correctly according to the E3D v6 Assembly Guide?
