3.7.0 Z-Leveling enforced error

I have an MK2.5 that has been working fine with firmware version 3.4.0. I liked the idea of the 49 point bed leveling so decided to try it out.

It works sometimes but the leveling will usually fail with the message in the title. If I follow the screens after this error, it will sometimes then print OK. Sometimes the same error is repeated. The failure is always in the last row during the bed leveling. Don't remember the point number but I believe it's the third or fourth point tested on the back row. Which point has varied a little but it's always been on the last row.

Here's what I've tried so far.
1) Lowered the PINDA, recalibrated XYZ. Calibration worked fine but same error.
2) Factory reset, recalibrated. Same problem.
3) Reverted to 3.4.0, recalibrated XYZ. System works fine.
4) Tried 3.7.0 again, same errors.

I also tried setting 3.7.0 to 3 points, same problems still occur.

Anything else worth trying???

Thanks

Workaround :
First, upgrade to 3.6.0, do the xyz-calibration and then upgrade to 3-7.0. But keeping the settings.

I am having the same issue. Just upgraded from MK2S to MK2.5S w/ MMU2S. I am using the standard nine point calibration and randomly one of the three points in the farthest back row kicks this error most of the time. I am going to try the XYZ calibration and see if it works out.

RE: 3.7.0 Z-Leveling enforced error

I ran the XYZ calibration and continued to get the same error w/ 3.7.0. Pretty much always on the 8th point. I flashed the 3.4.2 firmware and it got through z-calibration measurements on a print, but it stopped at the end of the priming extrusion at the front of the bed. I am guessing that specifically is a gcode issue relative to firmware builds. This is really frustrating. It seems lots of folks are having this problem.

I'm getting a forced z calibration in middle of the mesh bed leveling process at random points after updating to this firmware. This is happening to 4 of my 8 printers. Everything was fine before. Any ideas?

Issue is related to 2 of the mk3 and 2 mk3s.

RE: 3.7.0 Z-Leveling enforced error

I stuggled with the Z-leveling error for a long time since FW3.5.x or so. Most of the time either a point 8 or 9 in back row. I replaced the PINDA2 with new one few weeks ago with little help.

Then the Github forum pointed to bed heating and Z-levelling error being related. So I tried lowering the heatbed temp temporarily to stop it from heating during Z-level cal. That worked some 80% of time...

Today I found a new "fix" - I released the power supply and moved it to lay on table on the left side of the printer. Now the two power cables no longer run under the last row of Z-level calibration points and Voilaa - the error is gone. I've run tens of small test jobs for MMU2s today and I've not had a single Z-levelling error.

I also tried to put the power supply back... and the error comes back.  So this must be an interference caused by power cabling that messes up the PINDA2 job.

This is easy enough to try, so please do and give feedback. Is this only me or will this fix it for others as well?

@ergo-e unfortunately that didn't work for me.

Would be strange as well, as the pinda is always in a fixed position towards the power cables.

I only get Z-levelling issues on the last row, very very frustrating..

There is definitely some correlation between power to the heatbed and this error. When the heatbed is off there are no errors. When on, it is always (or maybe there is some luck in there, could also be the case the bed is just off due to an overshoot when the probe is probing the last row).

When setting Mesh Bed Levelling to 7x7 there is no issue. So using that now until I hear from support what I can do to make 3x3 work again.
