Bed adhesion suddenly just disappeared and I feel like something else is wrong

I've just suddenly started having bed adhesion issues. I've been printing on this i3 mk2.5s for a couple of years with no issues. All the sudden, prints just start popping off and sticking to the hotend. I keep waking up to messes like this with the first half of the print pushed off the side of the bed and melted in some places by making contact with the hotend.

I clean the bed after every print with isopropyl alcohol. It seems fine and very clean. I've enen flipped the magnetic board over and tried the other side. It keeps happening, requiring hours of clean up.

Because it's worked for so long, the bed shows no signs of wear and I clean it religiously, I can't help but think something else is wrong. Is my bed cooling off? Is the hotend somehow contacting the print and knocking it off?

Has anyone else seen this type of problem or have any idea what might be happening? I'm at my wits end. Pics below for reference.

Isopropyl alcohol will only remove some grease. To completely clean the PEI surface a wash with hot water and dish wash soap will remove sugar based dirt. If that is not enough a wipe with acetone will renew the top PEI surface (do not use acetone to often as if can ruin the PEI).

Some has suggested use of very fine sandpaper (git 800 or more) to renew to PEI surface after long usage - have never used that myself.

If water is used on the steel sheet, remember to dry it to avoid rust.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Sounds like adhesion and/or Live-Z calibration. Notes here.

After you clean your sheet 12x to appease the forum gods, check your bed heater.  Make sure the wires haven't worn out from motion/flex.  Also check that silicone sock or maybe try a run without it (but watch it for sure)- after a while the E3D ones start to sag in the rear......I've seen mine almost drag print a few times.

Is your printer grinding? Bearings squeaking? Motors smoking?
Step 1) Wash your Steel Sheet
Step 2) Return to Step 1

The cold and drafts are the main causes of warping and detachments.
Do not leave the start of printing (0-3mm high) unattended.
If the corners do not come off, the rest will be fine.
Add hairspray if your piece is massive.

L'impression 3D est l'avenir plus ou moins proche de toute l'industrie. Sa découverte ouvre l'esprit à la création, mais aussi à de nouveaux métiers et pour le moment un atout peu ordinaire à mettre impérativement sur un CV.
