Z level inconsistent - PINDA probe problem?

I have to adjust the Z level every print, via live level adjust. It varies from ~.850 mm to ~.450 mm. If I don't my print first layer is horrible or will not stick. Anybody have the same problem?? Do I have a bad PINDA probe???

Did you run V2Calibration.gcode? Its has the command to save the settings at the end. Normal prints don't.

my little calibration surface in version#4 also contains "the magic command", which tells the printer to store the z-level adjustment values permanently.

💡 by the way: the sensitivity of the probe is influenced by a few parameters. one of them is the temperature of the p.i.n.d.a. another one is it's supply voltage. if you have inconsistencies, make sure that both are stable. furthermore the stability of the supply voltage is depending on the temperature inside the rambo enclosure.... -> so it'a good idea to switch on the printer 1/2h before you start to print.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

I always move the extruder up to about 100mm above the heatbed, or to the right hand side of the X axis, so the pinda is off the heatbed...
