Quick question about the design of the MK2...
Hi. I'm curious to know what the reason is for implementing a moving platform (I think its the Y axis) instead of having the Y produced like the X motion. It seems to me that if you have a non-moving platform, then you will have fewer stability issues with taller parts that have a small table footprint.

Maker Bot Style do it this way. Has all pros and cons I guess. My NEO does it this way, you need to design it study or use a bowden extruder. My Velleman k8200 on the other side moves the whole bed in X and Y axis. Much mass to move.... I like the spereration on the Prusa i3, combines the both concepts and does not lead to that monolitic blocky printers
