Printing small objects - Slic3r
Hello all. new to the forum and printing. Just finished assembling my Prusa i3 MK2S yesterday. Printed the Prusa logo and treefrog with no issues. Now off to making some parts.
I am trying to figure out how to print this part. See the attachment. It is only 8.26 x 8.26 x 1.52mm using Slic3r. Is it possible? I would like to attach the .stl but I get a warning message when I try to attach. Will the printer be able to print this?

If you use Slic3r's preview view, you will see the actual filament.
If the features are too small to print, you will see it there.
Hard to tell dimensions from your image.

I make many small items and as aaron said, use the preview view after you slice the file and you will see what it's going to print exactly. From my experience, as long as your feature is above the width of the nozzle, so 0.4mm, then it'll print.

peter, start to build up a set of design rules for your printer
make sure you use multiples of the nozzle diameter for small items - otherwise you maybe surprised.
print toleranced parts slower and reduce/ increase the gap by 0.5mm
don't have the fan speed too high when printing small parts it will cool quickly
the part you show should be no problem for your printer, it will be down to how you set it up
keep a log - with a picture from the cad and a picture of what printed out - notes for any adjustments made
you will be able to refer to these in the future
you will also see when your printer is going wrong and be able to maintain it before it breaks.

Thanks everyone,
I did the preview check and it displayed that it would print, but not the whole thing, especially the legs. So, I will try some different settings and see if I can get it to print better and with more resolution.
