Print crashed extruder covered in nGen

Hey folks,

recently one of our prints crashed, for whatever reason. Now the printhead is covered in nGen Filament similar to PLA.

How do we get this mess off?

It ssems, that either the temp sensor or the heater cartridge is broken, since it wont heat anymore.

Where do we get a spare heatsensor? On the prusa page there are no spareparts for the printhead.

The print head is an e3d full block - you can get spares direct from e3d-online.com or any other official resellers. Just watch out for the cheap knock-offs.

Holy cow!

Try using a hair dryer or a heat gun? The difficulty will be keeping the temp above the glass transition of nGen but lower than that of ABS.

Out of curiosity, why were you using kapton tape on the heatbed? I print almost exclusively with nGen and have had no adhesion issues.
