Re: Left side vs right side of bed

I am having an identical issue.

I've used digital calipers to ensure all rods are even and square down to less than .2mm difference, and I've flashed to the latest 3.0.5 RC firmware, run both the X/Y and the Z auto-cal, and no change.

I get big squish on the left, light touch on the right. Everything has been checked, double checked, and triple checked and I am at my wit's end.

Surely there must be a way to fix this in software?

I know that the answer is probably yes but have you checked for things like - have you accidental put a washer in the wrong place on the left side causing it to be higher? Is the surface the printer is on level?, Is a zip-tie 'joint' in the wrong place? Failing all that have you checked if the left hand smooth rod is 100% straight.

Well, I can say all of the washers and zip ties should be fine because I'm an unusually picky person and I made sure every zip tie matched the build images 100%.

The only thing I do not know, now that you mention it, is if the left rod is 100% straight. Would be the best way to check? Remove it and roll it on a flat surface?

Re: Left side vs right side of bed

I'm having the exact same issue with a new MK2S kit. I have a good squished line on the right side of the bed, poor adhesion and no squish on the left. I tried running the Z-axis all the way to the top of the frame and noticed the same issue you noticed.. that the X-axis doesn't go all the way to the top on the left side.

Bed Level Correction set to Left: +50 Right: -50 doesn't seem to have any affect. And I can't see anything obvious mechanically that would be stopping the X-axis from going all the way to the top of the Z-screws.

Super frustrating. Does anyone have any advice? :-/

I think my issue s with the Z axis. The Z screws never bring the X axis all the way to the top. I first had my trapezoid nuts on upside down. I fixed that this morning but it still doesn't go past 94mm high. Yes it's in hi power, there doesn't seem to be anything mechanically blocking, etc. When I figure it out I'll share that too.
Thanks for the tip.

Here are some photos of the left and right side of the X-axis, as high on the Z-axis as they can be adjusted
