Left front calibration point not reachable.

Hello firends,

I am having the error below after replacing the bearings with drylin. But normal bed leveling is done with no errors and I am printing fine without errors.

XYZ calibration failed. Left front calibration point not reachable.

I have read the instructions that says "Move the left Y threaded rod in the Z frame away from you, so the PINDA probe reaches the left front bed calibration point reliably" but couldnt understand what does it mean. Which one is the left front point? The one on the power supply side or the X motor side? and which one is the Y threaded frame. I feel stupid 😥

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Re: Left front calibration point not reachable.

The front left point is the one near the left side (X motor) of the bed.

The nuts are the ones which hold the Z frame to the Y frame, where the Y frame slots into the Z frame underneath the printer.

But I think you have to move the nuts towards the front (about one half turn) so that you move the Y frame and bed towards the rear.

Ok so I will modify the nuts on the left.

Many thanks for helping me to understand.

No, you will need to modify nuts on both sides in order to keep everything square, assuming it was all square initially.

Did you previously receive a "skewed" message during calibration?

Re: Left front calibration point not reachable.

Hello again, I have made two adjustments and now, after 1. and 2. nut adjustment it says compromised (not failed) but still says left front can't reached.

I am checking the X rods and the lines on the heated bed. I can see that the left side of the bed is a bit behind the right side. and it still says not reachable.

Should I move the nuts backwards instead of forward? By moving the nuts forward the bed moves back. and it should fix the issue but it didn't and as I mentioned heat bed looks un-perpendicular from the top X rods view...

no skewed message, but before your message below, I have loosen both two nuts and measured distances with the caliper to be exactly 10cm. Now the calibration is ok. Many thank you for your help.

Re: Left front calibration point not reachable.

I'm running into this same problem. I completed the build process on Monday, ran the calibration process and it reported no skew and said everything was perpendicular. I've run several prints in the past two days, and now today I'm seeing this message ("XYZ calibration compromised. Left front calibration point not reachable.").

The mesh bed leveling works without error, the extruder and Y carriage hit the endstops no problem, and when selecting auto home it parks itself directly over the sensor position on the bed. The printer has not been moved. Is this expected? Can I go from everything is A-OK to being compromised over a day?

Re: Left front calibration point not reachable.

I took apart the Y axis belt and loosened it up a bit as I think it was assembled too tight. I printed out the "y-distance.stl" part from the github repo, put everything back together a couple notches looser, and now everything is reporting correctly.
