I have a question about Prusa printers Print Head/Fan configuration nozzle visibility .

From those that have had both a printer that gives the user direct visible access to the nozzle, and a obscured view of the nozzle as that of the Prusa, is the lack of direct visible access to the nozzle a impairment in any way for you?

On my current printer, I can easily see the nozzle incredibly well directly from the front of the machine, my parts cooling fan is also configured 3/4 surround, and yet I can still see the parts as they print as the opening is placed in the front of the nozzle. Easily being able to see timing of extrusion on geometry as it interacts with existing layers.

This allows me to see what the printer is doing in real time, allowing me to modify a file if I see something that can be improved on, or may make printing more conducive to producing a better output.

Does anyone find the hardware configuration “limiting” in any way from direct experience of having the Prusa with hardware covering the nozzle, and specifically the fan surround impinging on the clear view of the nozzle on the printing part?

Particularly with the introduction of the newer fan surround which obscures front and side viewing.

I definitely agree that I like to be able to clearly see the print in action. It's taken some getting used to with this printer, and I'd love better visibility. But it doesn't bother me THAT much.

Another factor that occurred to me just as I was printing right now..

How do Prusa users see, and then remove oozing from the hotend? Would the newer 3/4 surround fan on the mk3 make any difference?

I have a very open hotend area, and a little ooze finger was hanging off the nozzle, and even though I could see clearly from the front and have a nice small set of curved tweezers, it was still pretty difficult to grab that little finger, let alone if the heads is moving or if I somehow had to reach around from the back of the machine while all that was going on...

Is Oozing just not a problem on Prusa machines somehow?

Do people reconfigure the parts fan to give a better view to the part extrusion interface ?

Would love feedback, because it seems like a problem based on my previous experiences and work flow.

I printed a new fan shroud which it is possible to see the nozzle in action it also blows from 2 sides instead on 1 like the old fan shoud does.
But before i printed the new one I would watch it from the side. It was a bit annoying but still possible.

I am sure there are others, but I found this one when searching around for information on the topic.

Maybe can be easily adapted to MK3.

the one i have on at the moment is this one

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2517325

I've only tried it for a couple of prints though since I managed to break my hot end thermistor and I'm waiting for the new one to arrive, so far it seems to work fairly well, but you need to print this also otherwise it doesn't fit.
