Difficulty with XYZ calibration

Hi -

I purchased a made i3 MK2. Printed well for a while and then something got out of whack. I haven't moved it aside from shifting a bit on the table.

I've done the live Z adjust but ran into issues getting consistent results.

When I do xyz calibration, it doesn't look like the bolts are even at the top. On the right, it looks like there's a lot more room on the left but I can't figure out how to adjust. Any tips?

Hi Amelia

Maybe this can get you on the correct track?

Thanks gert.i

I'll review some more. I'm a bit nervous about adjusting things since I didn't order the kit.

I've been working on this for the last few hours (after spending hours previous days trying as well) and I'm frustrated.

My bed is clean. I've gone through xyz calibration, I can execute the live z adjust calibration print but when I try to actually print something, I can't get anything to work right.

I've attempted the "close" version of the print at least 10 times: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:237034

I've got the nozzle at 215 and the bed at 55 because 210/50 wasn't working at all. The first few strokes look fine and then each time something weird happens like this:

I feel like I keep spending time trying to make things work and the lack of results is getting me down. 🙁

Re: Difficulty with XYZ calibration

look at this thread, it'll help you to get your first layer (z live adjustment) calibration right. read at least the first 5 sites of the thread.

unfortunately the thread "drops down" every few days.... so if it helps you, leave a short comment there.

consider the recommendations about cleaning the pei sheet as well (99% ipa, and approx. every fifth print pure acetone), and don't touch the printbed with your fingers between cleaning and printing.

dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...
