Hotend. MK2MM vs. Prometheus System

Both of these multimaterial systems work in basically the same way. Both have paid extra attention to the PTFE and heartbreak internal bores to make the filament switch reliable. I'm wondering if the solutions are interchangeable. That is, can I assemble one hotend that will work with either system? Thanks.

For Prometheus, you will need a post-processor capable of handling the unload/load strategy, plus the purge tower. You will also need an extruder switch and firmware.

Got it. But the hotend hardware would work with either? I'm thinking of building a high temp hotend with ruby nozzle, copper heater block, platinum thermometer and 40watt heater; I'd like to be able to switch it between systems, otherwise I'll turn it into jewelry. 🙂

Yes, from what I have seen both systems are very similar.

I have also been asked to make my post-processor work with a variety of systems (including Prometheus) and that will be available soon.
