Merge two .stl files in to one

I am trying to merge two .stl files in to one with each file having their own colour.

The problem is that after slicing the file seem to have a very slight difference in height the Z axis is jumping up and down and it sounds like the nozzle is catching the other colour.

Do I have to convert each file into a different format fist it did print but looks crap?

I have not had the MMU long so learning curve for me.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi David, is the top of your red legs and green area a bit rough?

there looks to be a bit of over extrusion, on those layers...

can you save the project as a .3mf file in Prusa Slicer, then compress the file into a zip file and  attach the zip file to your next post please?

regards Joan

He is a diffrent file trying to same thing as would not let me open other one.

I am trying again to see what happen this time.

I have noticed the first layer green went down fine and changed to red no problem but the red first layer is going over the green first layer so after a few more it will higher where it passes over each layer.

Thanks for help.
