Printer fails on pre-heating

Prusa MK2

Do the pre-heat for say PLA and the display shows the bed and print head start to heat up

After a short period the display disappears, and the fan on the print head stop - it basically is dead

Any feedback or ideas on what is causing this and the possible fix?

Cheers

David

RE: Printer fails on pre-heating

Probable power fail for one of a dozen reasons. Start eliminating possible causes. Fix the one you find that is causing the shutdown.

What you are asking is for someone to use remote viewing to diagnose an electronic problem from 1,000 miles away, with a blindfold.

...

Common issues are shorts in the heaters, power supply failure, thermistor failure, Rambo failure, loose wire, bad stepper, etc. Find the schematics, a good DMM, and start measuring things.
