Inverted z-axis after firmware update

As the title says. I downloaded the newest prebuilt firmware and flashed it without issues, but when I homed the machine I discover that the z-axis is now inverted. Now, why did Prusa mess up the firmware like this, and what do I change in the source code to fix it?

Wild guess - you have downloaded the wrong firmware for your printer.

As much as I wish it could be my fault, and usually is, I'm pretty sure it isn't this time. Just to verify the file name for the I3 MK2 is: prusa3d_fw_3_2_3_MK2_MK2MMU.zip, correct?

That would appear to be correct!

Thanks for verifying, but that is also the problem. This is the firmware that I downloaded from Prusa's site, but the z-axis is now inverted. I reverted to the previous version of the firmware, and z-axis is acting as it should, but I'd really like to have the bug fixes in the newest firmware. I would really like to use either repetier-host or go full octoprint just so I can stop swapping the sdcard back and forth between the printer and computer.

Have a word with Prusa Chat, they may have a suggestion.

I am not at home at the moment because of lockdown. but I think I have this firmware on my Mk2 with MMUv1 ...

However I can't see how the Z motors would be different...

Extruders, Yes... 2 of the 4 extruders naturally turn one way and the other two turn the other way. if you accidentally wire them up 4,3,2,1 instead of 1,2,3,4... then all four extruders will run backwards! 🙂   (yes  I did that when I first built the MMUv1) 😀

I'm missing something here, poster makes no reference to MMU but uses firmware for MMU?

The archive contains both the standard MK2 and MMU firmware in separate directories. Really this whole thing is strange.

I have some further information on this subject. The Z-axis is not inverted. What happens is that when it homes it goes positive Z instead of negative Z to find the bed. So it's an error in homing not a direction inversion. Sorry about the confusion. So what has gone awry and and what should I change to get proper homing behavior?
