How to replace mini-rambo on MK2

Hey all,

I had a spool fall into the y-axis rails and jam the y stepper. Machine cal failed, noticed funny movement on y direction on bed.

Now one direction on the y-stepper port on the mini-rambo is gone. Swapping x and y inputs results in the problem following the port.

I called it a dead mini-rambo.

Question: I ordered a replacement, so do I just replace the mini-rambo and program latest FW and that's it?

Thanks

Yes, you will then have to go through the setup wizard and calibrate the machine again but as you had no problems before with calibration this should be fine and nothing to worry about.

Thanks!,

I'm eager to get my machine back working, almost went to Microcenter and picked and Ender3 as a temp replacement / addition to my empire of stuff.

Roger on the cal.

the dying mainboard could have been the perfect point to change to a MKS gen 1.4 with tmc2100 and the 3.9.0 firmware with linear advance 1.5 😉
