Replacing the PEI sheet without Limonene

Hi!

I wanted to replace the PEI sheet but was out of Limonene, have to try something
else.. but what what should i use?? decided to take a look in my garage, maybe i could find something useful.

Found a spray bottle of 3M Scotch-Weld Cleaner 50098!!

This spray works even better than Limonene!! after spraying this thing on the bed the glue
turns to liquid and i just wiped it of and repeated the process one more time before viping
clean with IPA, this seems to work great! no more waiting for the Limonene to do its thing.

i bought the american version of the product which wasn't easy to find. it is 3m Citrus base cleaner, the can looks similar but has a part number: 212200-76394

i will attempt it next time. I use Turpentine right now which works takes about 1-2 hours to put a new PEI sheet in.

i learned that Acetone slowly murders PEI by making it brittle. this explains why everytime my PEI got damaged it was because i ran a ABS plastic print and used Acetone for ABS juice.

Acetone, Turpentine and IPA. I don't remember exactly what worked best.
It took some time to remove it completely, but was possible without additional high costs for Limonene.

Confirmed : Aceton is working.

Place heatbed in some kitchen-towels (Zewa), soak it with aceton, place in in a teflon zip-bag, close it and wait half an hour (or more). Aftert then removing the PEI is very easy. But there are a lot of glue to remove.

Acetone worked great for me...just make sure you have adequate airflow. While I'd love to use Limonene for it's relatively lower environmental impact, I couldn't actually BUY any within a reasonable period of time. (Ordered Friday off Amazon, got notification is was being returned the following Thursday, couldn't buy it locally, had Acetone in the garage.)

@daniel-a6

"PEI got damaged it was because i ran a ABS plastic print and used Acetone for ABS juice." have you considered dedicating one sheet to ABS?
