Life Time prusa i3 mk2s

Hello guys ,today I want to buy a prusa to replace my ender 3.

On a resell market I found a prusa i3 mk2s at 300€ and 88 days of print

I dont really know the life Time of a prusa i3 mk2s and which component will die first on a 3d printer and which problem could happen with its 88 days of printing time

RE: Not that easy to answer

As most of the printers are build from kits I would say it depends. For me I would have a look at the rods of the printer table. Can you see grooves from the linear bearings in the rods? Does the table make clicking noises when you try to shake it a little. I would say rods and bearings on x and y axis will be the parts you should have an eye on.

But in principle all of these things can be repaired very easy and it is not that expensive. But what about a MINI new from Prusa - about 150€ more and you get a nice working new printer. Think about it. This brings lots of advantages - possibility to switch between different print surfaces, ...

Best regards, Clemens
