Extr fan error (firmware related?)

I just put a new rambo card in an i3 mk2 printer and it asks for a firmware update. it asked for 3.9.3

after doing so I get a extr. fan error, I tried a different fan and it did the same.

I questioned the firmware choice, I have the rambo 1.3 so i used the firware that is running on one of the other 5 prusas i have here and
(3.1.0) and now it comes up without the fan error but it want to go back to the 3.9.3 like the first time. i looked up the error and it says it isn't sensing the fan running but it is on both that i tried..

do I have a card that is too new to work on this one or something?

RE: Extr fan error (firmware related?)

The 3.93 is firmware for a MK 2.5 or 2.5S, which has a 3-wire Hotend fan with a speed sensor.

For a MK2 or 2S, you want the 3.23 firmware.       Download 3.2.3 (1MB)

The correct board is the MiniRAMBO, at least for the 2S.  An EinsyRAMBO is for a MK3 - 3S+

Good luck
