Anyone knows if there will be a broader beta program for the XL?

I suspect they have a tight group already but you could always ask.

So my Dispatch Date says: Scheduled shipping: within a week from 2/7/2022

Does that mean 7 Feb? 😆

It means February 7th in exactly the same way that your post is dated July 12th at the bottom.  Everywhere except the US uses dmy date order.  Prusa are not in the US.

The forum is correct for me as DMY except the format on the Prusa order page is MDY? Hence me asking.

I suspect that dispatch dates are just placeholders at the moment not actual ones.  There is not a definite release date available at this time.

RE:

I suspect that is correct.  I contacted support the last time a date was there.  It disappeared.  They said the date was just tentative.  Q2 is April through June.  Q3 is July - September.  That date could be July Second also, BUT every other date is listed as Month, Day, Year.

The only other possibility is that Prusa is using Fiscal Years (FY).  FYQ2 is January to March and FYQ3 is April to June.

IT IS CONFUSING.

Hmmmm... I now suspect that some of Prusa's software is 'helpfully' displaying the date in local format depending on where it thinks the user is, but some of it isn't.  One of the hidden gotchas that go with buying in software.

I used to get hung up on this but now that I know computers and file organization, it should probably be year-month-day.  I accept it for what it's worth and move on from my preconceptions.

I just placed my preorder for the 5 extruder XL. I have over 30 Prusa Minis, 2 i3 Mk3s, but really want the ability to print with multiple materials / colors. Now I just need to come up with a legit explanation to my wife as to why I dropped $3500 on yet another 3D printer LOL.

I'm really excited about the potential speed benefits of the XL!

30 Minis! Any special farm software you use with them?

Not at the moment. We currently operate off of the USB sticks, and I have been anxiously awaiting the future network connectivity updates for the Mini+. I've been dying to get a legit dashboard for the print farm 😎

So my business partner and I created an adapter that converts an electric leaf blower into a mosquito mister. We call it Mist-X 🙂

Here's what the final kit looks like:

Cheerio,

I deal with incoming models and files all the time.  If I received a file today it would go in a folder called 211223 PRUSA.  Any other format would be illogical.

20211223 is what I use.  Who wants a 2121 issue in 100 years?

That works even better.  I'll be retired in 100 years so that's going to be someone else's problem.  I should probably start making the adjustment now though.  Can't believe it's almost 2022.
