Received multiple duplicate emails from Prusa Research about my pre-order

I have received multiple identical emails from Prusa Research regarding my Prusa XL pre-order, all appear to be with a pdf invoice attached but each email was sent at a different time in the past two days. Has anyone else also been getting the same emails regarding their pre-orders? I want to make sure that my place in the queue hasn’t been changed/affected by mistake.

Best Answer by DanielAttia:

According to the representative I just chatted with, it appears that there was a bug in the new e-shop site that is causing duplicate emails to be sent out. But they confirmed that my pre-order hasn’t been changed. All of the Order Numbers that I have received are identical.

I recommend you contact Prusa Support via the Chat feature on the main site.

Actually yes, I just checked and they are even different Order Numbers.  Now, they did just put in a new eShop, which I believe is sending out emails and notifications.  I heard Josef say somewhere that one of the reasons (there were many) was to prepare for splits and preorders.  Perhaps their new logic has some flaws?

But yes, I have multiple emails, and concerningly they have different order number (they all start with 1637)

What I noticed was that from 4:54pm EST until 1 hour later, the order number sequence jumped 159,767 orders :-O   So unless Prusa is selling 160k orders per hour (or they bounce around with their order number generator), they have a major bug OR... or... they are getting hit by something generating bogus orders.  I tend to think it's not the latter, and I am guessing it is an internal bug due to you and I getting multiple order communications each with different order numbers.

Yes.

After pre-ordering I received 3 nearly identical mails with order detail attached in pdf file.
All order numbers was identical, but the leading order letter was changed from Z to EU. Then a third mail a little later but identical to the previous.

I contacted Prusa Support on on-line chat and they told me, that everything was fine.

I just received a fourth mail with order details, now the leading letter in order number is again changed from EU to Z (Z16372xxxxx).

Hope everything is OK...

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Thanks, I didn't contact them knowing you were, so thanks for that.  (they are overwhelmed right now between the new eShop issues and new product)
