SCAD Based STL File Slicers in Cura for Prusa i3 but not in PrusaSlicer for my Mini???

I am trying to print a circular box and matching lid, both with threads, that I found on Thingiverse ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4336345 ).  The lid slices correctly in PrusaSlicer 2.2 at 0.15mm and 15% infill, but the box reports it auto-repaired 742 errors and "Empty layers detected" , "print z 0.350000".  The SCAD file was included, but half is in German and while not new to programming languages, I am new to SCAD.

The strange thing is that if I use Cura 4.6.1 and use the stock configuration for a Prusa i3 the box slices correctly and does not report any errors.

Why will will the box slice in Cura and not Prusa Slicer Mini???   (Any yes, the model size in all three axes will fit in the Mini's print volume) and how can it get it to print on my Mini?

Unfortunately, that SCAD file is buggy and generates lots of invalid triangles ("inside out"). I guess Cura is more tolerant of bad STLs.

Ok, I think it was a different problem, there is a zero thickness skirt that confused the slicer. It looks like there is something there, but after slicing it results in an empty layer.

Try the attached fixed version?

Bob:  That did it!  Now it slices correctly in PrusaSlicer.  How did you know or see that?
