print fail although with support

Most of my printings work well, but sometimes, like in this case, the print wont stick to the bed.

The print in the picture failed 3 times with 0.10mm quality (disconnected from bed) , and (almost) succeeded in 0.15 Quality (ended printing, but did not stick well to bed).

I am using Prusa mini with Prusa Slicer, default settings.

Any ideas how to improve the stickiness in such a print?

Your first layer Z is too high, not squished enough.  Revisit your first layer calibration.

At the end of the calibration you are aiming to print a single layer *sheet*. It should be possible to peel it off in one and fold it without the threads seperating. If it breaks into lines it is too high, not squished enough. If it is a single sheet but with wavy lines or drag marks on it you are too low

Many poeple have problems with the built-in first layer calibration routine. There are alternatives, see this page by a regular poster here: http://projects.ttlexceeded.com/3dprinting_mk3_live_z_calibration.html

and look at this thread: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/life-adjust-z-my-way/

Also your print bed is dirty; clean the sheet with dishwashing detergent (Dawn/Fairy) and plenty of HOT water, rinse well and dry with a fresh paper towel. Handle by the edges only.

Cheerio,

Cheerio,

Thank you! Very detailed and informative. There is so much to learn!

So far I changed the distance from -1.2 to -1.22, - 1.23, -1.3.

See the calibration attached.

The printings improved.

I find it hard to tell which calibration is the best. Perhaps one day a camera will be attached with AI, and it will calibrate automatically.

Can you tell if the calibrations are OK? should I get it even lower?

Is there a "don't go there" number that will damage the bed

You should always mention what type of filament (PLA, PETG, ASA,...) you're using.
Your Z-offset distance means nothing to others, because it depends on your SuperPINDA height. That is, for you "perfect" Z-offset might be -1,650, but for me it can be -0,840 (to get the same first layer as you have).
Good first layer should look about like this:

-that is, unless you use transparent filament, you shouldn't be able to see trough the first layer rectangle (print lines must fully stick together).

More into calibration

I am using eSun PLA+

True, the actual number is not a relevant parameter, it it should range between values.

Since I can see between the lines of the calibration, I assume I should get lower. I will try that soon,

Anyway printing start to get better, so I guess I am on the right direction. Thank you again.

You're getting close, but yes, you can go a little lower.
