Thank you 😊! That heat shield looks nice. I downloaded one for the mini but hadn't printed it yet. That's some real heat to print it! The Windex works. Just let the plate cool and it popped right off!

I finally received my replacement roll of ASA... After they replaced it for being shattered... this is how they shipped the replacement...

Super large box, no padding, just bouncing around. Luckily, however, this roll was still vacuum sealed and everything seems fine. I'm not going to open it as I found a way to use the broken spool... but wow. To be fair though, this was Amazon's packaging.

I think I know, I don’t think I know. I don’t think I think I know, I don’t think I think.

Real nice! LOL, I haven't had them ship with no packing but I've seen this kinda small box in a large box before! So you just printed a reusable spool for the broken one? I just ordered 3d Fuel Pro PLA in blue and red, weeeeellll, they shipped me standard pla in those colors. Hopefully they do the same for me and just ship me the right stuff!

I printed a side-mount spool holder. It's actually rather nice, no fiddling with changing the width of the skate-style that came with the Mini, or trying to adjust where it goes. Saves a bit of space as well.

Specifically this one by Zelrick on Prusaprinters. They also have a narrow one that's closer to the LCD panel, but I didn't want it to interfere with where I have my USB moved to, so I went with the standard with adjustable foot. I also didn't have any M4 screws/t-nuts so I printed some M3 t-nuts and it worked just as well. This bypasses the shattered side on that spool and can print like normal. 🙂

I think I know, I don’t think I know. I don’t think I think I know, I don’t think I think.

Sweet! Did you print the nuts complete or print for a drop in nut? I may print something like that too. I'm going to move my power switch too though first.

I printed drop ins from here for m3 nuts. They have a selection for different sized nuts for whichever you have on hand.

RE: Pinch part

One other tip if it breaks again might be to split the part in two halves and add more thru bolts and maybe washers to get a larger squeez area around the bolts.
