I am trying to print this box part that pretty much has another box cut out of the middle. Why is it not generating supports inside the cavity? I attached the overall part and the sliced part. I am used to cura just automatically generating supports in gaps like this. For the prusa slicier, I am using the default settings. What am I missing?

Best Answer by jsw:

Do you by chance have the 'supports on build plate only' selected?  Do you have the 'don't support bridges' option selected?

The slicer probably intends to bridge that upper section.

Depending on how clean you need the inner section to be, it might just work to print it without supports.

Standard Prusa Mini FW4.2.1, no enclosure...
