RE: Need help to print this model

Yeah - that's pretty ugly. Looks like you need to do a serious flow calibration.

What size nozzle are you using?

O.4mm nozzle. I’ve done the cube prints for each filament I used and adjust accordingly. I think I have z height too low with multiplier too high.

For the filament I’m currently using (Raise3D) I’ve the multiplier as 1.15. The top of the cube looks reasonably filled. Still some tiny gaps between lines. Hence I think think the live z height is too low and the filament is squashed too much.

RE: Need help to print this model

I have never changed my multiplier from 1.00 .. in years. 1.15 seems very very high.

Z-height should not be a factor, unless you mean Live-Z. And with that the multiplier should NEVER be changed to adjust layer 1.

The only places you need to compensate are filament diameter (and I usually ignore that tweak), and the extruder multiplier for variation in the Bondtech gear alignment and wear.

You're right re extrusion multiplier value. I re-ran the first layer calibration, and set the multiplier to just 1.02 (a judgment call from previous printed cube top layer quality). And it has printed this (9.5+ hour) with only small blemishes!

I'm going to re-print the nose cone with these settings and see how that goes.

Thanks for sticking with me through all the posts and trials/errors.

RE: well at one time I could do this part with just a click of a box

This part as made on my Dual Extruder 3D Printer with just the click on 1 BOX doing outside with Extruder 1 and inside with

Extruder 0 . . Now i get a weird just a TINY line of White and the rest is BLUE . . What the Heck gives ? . . ..And since I have DUAL EXTRUDER's . . why is it I can't print letters ON TOP of a part ?  Slic3r will NOT let me raise the start of the letters at 10mm and print the letters on top of the part .  .Has a base of 10 mm and letters are 5mm tall . . Separate STL files

Project files

Hi,
If you load your STL into Prusa Slicer, set up your configuation and then click on the files menu and select Save Project As... and then save the project where ever you like, as a .3mf file...
Next, ZIP compress the file, and attach the zipped file to the post.

you can also ZIP Compress STL Files, and attach the zipfiles to posts.

regards Joan

RE: Need help to print this model

I am using Windows.
When I type in the box, I Find that there is an add media click box at the top of the window

which allows me to add media to the post... as above

you can also Drag and drop an image or a file into the input screen, as I have done with the image above
I have numbered 4 parts in the image above.
Number 1 in the Add Media Dialogue tool, is where you can choose to upload a file from your computer,
After your file has uploaded (If it is an image ) you should be able to see a thumbnail for the image in the top left box, as indicated by number 2.
having loaded the file, you can click option shown by number 3, to make the image present at full size, if the person viewing the post later, clicks n the Picture
when you have finished click on the box labelled 4, to complete the insertion.

Castle time saving options

you can use the Add Media Option to add Zip files, as I have done above.  AND,

you can use the Attach file Option at the bottom of the post input box, to add files too!

In the image below I have highlighted the Add Media button  (5)
and the first Zipfile that I added (6) and the
Attach file option, (7)

I hope this information helps you attach files in the future

regards Joan
