X axis error

Hi,

I have assembled a Prusa i3 Mk3S and printed out the bottle opener which worked fine.  I then started on my own design and part-way through the print, the printer started printing about 5cm to the right of where it should have been. I did the xyz calibration and it failed on the x-axis. I have checked the pulley and the ties as suggested and they seem okay, but the calibration still fails. It seems to be only able to move the x-axis about 5cm before stopping, although manually it moves along the entire x-axis.  Any suggestions as to the cause and the fix?

Hello and welcome to the Prusaforum!

Did you lubricate the linear bearings well? Try to change the belt tension and check again the behaviour during calibration. It is also possible that the screws on the extruder back side are too tight.
