Why does the Prusa Mini show a Stop option on the screen when purging?

Does anyone know why the device shows Stop on-screen when purging, I can't see a mechanism to actually stop the purge? It looks like it's been designed for a touchscreen, which obviously the device doesn't have!

Not a big deal, I just wondered if there was a reason!

Not the only place. There are other menu options that show a Stop button, which can't be activated.

I agree, I find it rather odd.

The purge is likely a single instruction to feed some mm of filament at a predetermined speed. There may not actually be any effective way to interrupt an instruction mid execution  other than forcing a reset of the printer.

@rick-2

Understood. Just from a UI perspective, in such situations it would be better not to show an (inaccessible) stop options, which only serves to confuse users.

Having said that, I'd rather the developers focus on other less cosmetic issues to fix, such as the problem of Octoprint not receiving a filament run-out signal from the filament sensor, or adding the ability to name sheets, etc...

@fushsr I agree, the name sheets issue is a PITA, fortunately, they appear to have solved the filament runout sensor.

Yes, but...

I have a Mini with Astroprint, and it still doesn't recognize the filament runout. Positive reports though from Octoprint users so I guess it's an issue with the Astroprint software. I have a spare Pi with Octoprint lying around, will give that one a try at some point.
