RE: Watchdog reset

What does FAT32 mean?  Yeah, I’m really that new at this.

@ddelgado

It is an old MS DOS format for disk drives which is the format required for the USB used with the Mini.  If you are running a Mac, use Disk Utility to format.

Choose one of the following Windows-compatible file system formats if you are formatting a disk to use with Windows.

MS-DOS (FAT): Use for Windows volumes that are 32 GB or less.

ExFAT: Use for Windows volumes that are over 32 GB.

ExFAT will work.

RE: Watchdog reset

I had the same exact issue. Very frustrating. Happened 3 times on the same print. Sliced it exactly the same as I had before and this time it printed fine.

I heard about the legendary quality of prusa printers, I even purchased their expensive prusament, I am becoming very disappointed in this company.

Gentlemen,

would be great to know which FW version do you use. Sometimes the same symptom can be caused by different reason on different FW.  Detailed and exact issue description can help for error investigation. See please this : https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/english-forum-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/we-want-to-help-you-you-have-to-tell-us/

even an old man can learn new things 🙂

My 5 cents, new Mini from today, the Prusa USB stick is unreadable either by the mini or my laptop (Win 7). Formatted another 4GB stick with exFat and the sample gCode, Mini cannot see it. Redone it with FAT32 and no problem, it is currently printing a benchy.

Latest firmware 4.2.1 from factory.

I'm too getting a lot of watchdog reset after just 2-10 minutes on firmware 4.2.1
Tried reformatting the original USB, and are now trying another USB stick.

The usb stick was not warm when I unplugged it. Just got mine the other day to.

Prusa Mini with fillament sensor.

RE: Watchdog reset

I switched to another USB stick, and it's been printing like a charm, so... my prusa usb is broken 🙁

RE: Watchdog reset

Same here, was printing https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/41873 this file and after 56% Watchdog came up. Was using PLA and resliced it again for PETG. Used another Stick and Watchdog came right from the Start of the Printing.

Support told me to re-install the latest Firmware but the Mini is not detecting it regardless of the Stick. Holding the Knob when powering-up does not help.

Printed another File without Watchdog error (but lots of Strings). Maybe the Mini is not happy to stay so close to his big Brother MK3s.

Running latest Firmware 4.2.1 final with PETG Prusament, sliced with PrusaSlicer. No other Modifications (yet), Printer arrived August 2020.

RE: Watchdog reset

Seem to be a new beta frimware that solves the issue. No idea where is my original USB stick so can't try it out.
