Simplify3D profile?

Using the MK3 profile does weird things. Tried to create a new profile while borrowing some of the slicer profile start and end gcode but there seems to be something missing as when I printer doesn't extrude correctly. Seems like there's an offset or either the extrusion settings are not correct. Anyone got a profile? Slicer just does some dumb things and I get better prints with S3D, especially supports for my customer technical prints.

RE: Simplify3D profile?

If the prime line prints OK but the extruder starts making a racket and pushing out excessive filament, look at extruder modes (M82, M83). I've got my (incomplete) notes on startup gcode for Simplify3D here. Notice the M82 at the end. Unfortunately I can't test for a few days, but  if  this sounds like your issue, try that.

Otherwise, describe your issue in more detail or provide pics for more suggestions.

RE: Simplify3D profile?

I have a S3D file that now appears to be working on my machine. I have also uploaded it in the Prusa Facebook group because FFF file are not allowed to be uploaded here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/PrusaOfficial/

I am sure it can be improved. It is based on the Prusa Slic3r profile, with updated variables that work with S3D, and all the appropriate configuration / checkboxes.

RE: Simplify3D profile?

Thanks for sharing! I'm giving it a go right now. I prefer S3D as well. I'm still having some trouble with first layer adhesion but making progress and hoping I can start using this thing as a workhorse.
