Rotary Knob not turning on mini

I have one of the first minis and for some time now I have had issues with the knob.

Pressing the knob works just fine and always has.
Turning the knob has issues.   probably 6-8 months ago it started having issues.

You would turn the knob and it may or may not work for moving the cursor on the screen.
So you just turn it more and eventually it moved.
Over time it got worse so I found applying side pressure and turning would work most the time
But still not a one to one turn to screen movement.

Now its degraded even further were more often than not no matter what I do it does not move
the cursor so I have to spin and twist like crazy to get anything done.

So I have decided to fix it.  I removed the orange assembly from it and I am looking at the rotary knob and do not see any obvious breaks in the solder.  Any Advice on how to fix this?

Does it just need a new rotary knob?

If the printer is less than a year old, contact Prusa Support, and have a chat with them.

they may resolve it with a Warrantee replacement

Try to print a new button first. Maybe it is already so worn out that it only holds in a couple of phases.
