MINI+ hotend thermistor broken

While cleaning the hotend of my Prusa MINI+ with a soft brass brush, I must have broken the thermistor, although I was careful near the wire connections not to damage them. All of a sudden the cooling fan started spinning at full speed and shortly after that I got the MINTEMP error, and it does not go away anymore.

I visually do not see any damage but when I measure the thermistor resistance with a multimeter, it cannot measure it. So I guess some wire must have broken somewhere.

I wanted to buy a spare thermistor from the Prusa Eshop, but it is out of stock.  I would like to get a replacement as soon as possible, as my printer broke down on the first day of my holidays. So I cannot use it anymore, while I had so many plans...

After some searching, I found an E3D Prusa thermistor from 3D Jake: https://www.3djake.com/e3d/prusa-thermistor   It states that it is for the Original Prusa i3 MK3 etc. But I assume it is also usable for the MINI? Or is the cable length different? They can deliver it to Belgium on July 28. That is in about 10 days from now, which I found a bit long, as I recently ordered filament from them and it arrived a few days later. Maybe this is due to the holiday season.

Next to this, I also found an E3D Thermistor Cartridge on 123-3d.nl:   https://www.123-3d.nl/E3D-Thermistor-Cartridge-E-SEMITEC-50-MOLEX-INC-CABLE-i1792-t15045.html It does have some additional connector near the end where you have to insert the sensor itself, which is maybe not ideal. But they can deliver it to Belgium in a matter of days. Would it be a good replacement also?

Does anybody have some advice on how to get my MINI+ working again soon?

-Sven.
