Leaky hot end

I’m trying to print things to sell with my Prusa Mini, but for some reason, filament is leaking from the hot end, and covering the hot end and nozzle in filament resulting in huge blobs on my print. Anyone have any suggestions?

RE: Leaky hot end

Hi!

Yes, I had the same problem.
It leaks because the seal between the heaterblock and the heatbreak is too loose.
The solution is to release the three grub screws which fasten the heatbreak to the cooler and then you also need to lightly loosen the PTFE tube screw on top of the heatbreak. (only like half a turn)

Then, you slightly push the heaterblock up against the heatbreak and simultaneausly fasten the grub screws. Watch out, the grub screws are very gentle!!

Once You fasten these Screws, You can retighten the PTFE tube crew to squeeze the PTFE tube inside the heatbreak.

That worked for me pretty well.

Cheers

Would this be the same issue? I have plastic leaking out from the top.
