GHOST print! Not 'ghosting' but printing something that is not on the flashdrive.

I have something weird. As you can see in the picture I started a print and after 1 or 2 layers the MINI started a new print on top of the current one! But the 'ghost' print on top of the current print does currently not exist on my flash drive.

I have printed this 'ghost' print before but that was 3,5 MONTHS ago! In that period I must have at least cleaned my flash drive twice. Back then the same print has failed, maybe the software has memorized it somehow.

Here is a picture of April 5 2020 of the failed print.

Would suggest to check, if some specific profile in your (Prusa?) Slicer, doesn't have incorrect starting GCODE added there. If it appear sometimes, I suppose the "sometimes" must be triggered somehow. It is up to you to find out what it is...

Also open the gcode file in some other slicer like Cura, to see what it will render. (Prusa?) Slicer maybe also could do it, but never tried it there.

Sounds like a faulty USB stick, use a different one. The original Prusa supplied ones are known to be problematic.

@rams

Sometimes formating the USB drive is better than deleting files on it.
