extruder gear jamms sometimes

Hello,

Does anybody have had this problem before? Most of the treads I found are about a clogged nossel. But I haven't had this before:

I already tried to clean the gear... But that didn't work.

Thanks in advance

Steven

I assume that the picture you are showing does not have any filament inserted.  It looks a lot like either a stepper motor stall or a gear tooth interference.  Try running the extruder motor without the gears in the housing to see if the motor is stalling.  Make sure there isn't plastic that touches the gears or set screw.  Examine the gear teeth closely.  With it assembled mark the gear position with a sharpie.  If it is only one spot on the large gear in one revolution check the large gear teeth.  If it has a repeat evenly spaced in one revolution of the large gear then the suspect would be the small gear or the stepper motor.
