aftermarket filament sensor

Just ordered my prusa mini+, but opted out on the filament sensor and second bed. I know you can buy the bed aftermarket, but is there any way to get the filament sensor, or does that have to be built in?

RE: aftermarket filament sensor

You can contact support and ask them to add the second bed/sensor to the order. They will add it and ask you to send xxx money .

You can buy filament sensor anytime later -if you realize you actually need it. I bough it (when I purchased Mini), but never used it. In my opinion filament sensor is only useful if you print a lot of larger objects, or you have several printers printing all the time.

As for second print sheet (I assume you mean textured one)... you will need it if you plan to print with PETG filament. I would recommend you get original one -just to avoid troubles. Original one is of good quality, but for aftermarket one never knows... it can be good at first, but after a while surface might degrade.

Just my opinion

@jonah_mweather If you log in with your shop account you will have access to a much wider selection of spares than the casual browser.  The sensor is on the second page.

Cheerio,
