2 issues with my MINI

Can someone help me with my MINI Prussa issues that I have ?

I have 3 mini prusa printers and I was one of the EARLY buyers but it took months to deliver. From the very first day I have had few issues and never had a chance to fix it.

In all 3 cases ( all mini Prusa ) when I am in the mid print and notice filament is running low, I am not able to replace the filaments, I do see the button in the menu to change the filament after pausing the printer, but its not functional ! Am I missing something here?

2 of my 3 printers is expecting something weird and its driving me nuts.

When I start a print randomly 2 of them goes to the orange screen and gives me error that temperature did not reach. Here is the tricky part. I restart the printer and try again, it may do the same thing OR it would continue printing. IF it continues printing IT WILL NOT FAIL goes all the way to the end! So this makes me think its not wiring issues or thermistor issues because if it was it could stop in mid print, its just in the beginning. The 3rd prusa mini is okay ! I never had this issue ! So I am really confused as far as what is happening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: 2 issues with my MINI

Make sure you are running the latest firmware.

Sporadic thermistor failures are quite common on the early ones, btw. Support sent me a replacement really quick though.

The bottom cover for the cables on the heated bed was adjusted so you will need to print a replacement for all three of your printers as well: https://github.com/prusa3d/Original-Prusa-MINI/blob/master/STL/MINI-heatbed-cable-cover-bottom.stl

RE: 2 issues with my MINI

What temp did not reach? Is it the the bed temp? If so, I had the same problem, see this post: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/hardware-firmware-and-software-help/bed-temp-not-reached-err-mintemp/

It sounds like the same problem, my prints would fail randomly with the error "bed temp not reached" and I have to reset.

For me it was not a problem with thermistor per se, but the wire between bed thermistor and controller. These wires seem to be very weak and can go open circuit depending on the location and movement. You can try searching for this area and jumper the wire.
