I would second that search! Could you let me know if you found one? Happy to go as far as Mojave 10.14.6

What exactly are you looking for? Just a highlighter for gcode? A simulator WYSIWYG?

Hi nikolai,

the latter would be perfect. I would like to see the travels of the extruder and potentially tweak the gcode a bit to somehow manually "re-slice" parts of an object that gives me a major headache to print. I tried to slice said object in PS and in cura and the results are okeish but not what I want. Since the volume in question is only about a 22x8mm part of a torus I was hoping to be able to achieve this.

Then I would suggest some online gcode visualizers. Like:

http://gcode.ws/
https://ncviewer.com/

Edit:
Feel free to try other slicers. Like Simplify3D, KISS,... There are many slicers out there which are maybe doing exactly what You want (or you can bend them to do it so)

Thanks for the links. Seeing the results at least made it quite clear that this might be an option for a very long rainy day 😉

I'll have to play a bit more with the slicers...
