Setup PrusaSlicer for Ultimaker S5
Hi there,
Here at work, we have an Ultimaker S5, it was bought before I was brought on and believe me I tried to add a Prusa but my boss would have none of it, which I can understand after having spend €5.000 on a printer nobody likes.
I am used to Prusa Slicer and I believe it has some distinct advantages over Cura, all be it speed. Now the Ultimaker uses so-called UFP files to control the printer, on an Ultimaker forum I've read that this is basically a ZIP archive with G-code and a preview image. Can Prusaslicer export this kind of file or does anyone know a method to use PrusaSlicer on an Ultimaker S5.

Personally I am only familiar with one person trying it on the forum. I attempted to help but it rapidly got to the limits of my knowledge so I advised he ask on an Ultimaker forum if someone there had a profile already for Slic3r. You can still print G-code ASCII files on the Ultimaker printers but you need to remove the "generated by" text that is added on the first line to get the printers to even start processing the rest of the files.
I added a compatible Ultimaker S3/S5/S7 profile for PrusaSlicer
