Part orientation analysis
I have print a few complex machined parts for medical and aerospace. These are used mostly for show and tell with the end user, and for fixture making discussions. High tolerances not required.
It takes me some time to check through all the possible, reasonable, part orientations on the bed.
Is there a program or high level slicer that would run the part through many of the possible bed orientations, then output a report listing such things as print time, material used, % support material used, % surface area printed over support, etc. Maybe even user defined variables.
