https://www.microcenter.com/product/611552/inland-175mm-luminous-green-pla-3d-printer-filament---1kg-spool-(22-lbs)

and it glows pretty good. however, it is VERY abrasive on your nozzles so i would not recommend using it on a brass nozzle.

Do you find the premium price worth it for them over an already great Nozzle X?

@lh

I have a ruby.  I have not found it superior to Nozzle X, but I do like slice Engineering’s Vanadium nozzle.

@littleneutrino

For the cost of the Ruby, I can buy 20-100 brass nozzles.  They are pretty much disposable.

How do you identify a worn nozzle - I print 65% PETG, 10% Polycarbonat, 10% ABS and 15% PLA - printing for more than 2,5 years (about 30 kg of material) and I would say the 1. brass nozzle is still in good condition.

How do you check that?

I usually wait until I clog a print, take off the nozzle and say "omg, I'm not cleaning that" 😭

Getting closer...

Isn’t that the truth.  I spent a couple hours cleaning a clogged nozzle.  I just replace them and some times I just replace the hotend too.

Someone suggested I use a blow torch.  I might try it.

So if cleaning a clogged nozzle isn´t the problem a nozzle lasts for ever? Good news 😉

My Prusa Mini arrived today and sold it for a profit. I will buy a Zaribo upgrade for my mk3s. At some point if the Mini has no problems I will buy it again.

Ok.  I have printed head to head with my MK3S.  I printed a Makers Coin that my rocket club uses to encourage the team to remain to the end of the day to assist with clean up.  It is what I call a plastic Nickle.  We hand them out as $5 off your next flight fees.

Coin front:

Coin Back:

I printed them with the same settings and it took 1 hr 17 minutes on the MK3s and 54 minutes on the Mini.  The quality is identical.

Mini showed up today. Sadly, the electronics enclosure was badly cracked on both sides. Upside was that support responded immediately and a new enclosure is being shipped. No questions asked. Great customer service.
