Wait... WHAT?

I still have Josef Prusa in my ear saying that they stocked up and promise to start shipping end of November...

I will find the chat record and repost.

You may want to check what PR is saying about it: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/6OdtbKF1bw-shippingtable

New orders won't be shipped till January 2020, but older ones are scheduled according to the plan.

You are correct. I asked a different chat rep and they did confirm this. However I am still slightly concerned.

“The Original Prusa MINI will start shipping in just a few weeks – at the end of November. However, as expected there is already a bit of a queue, so orders are expected to be shipped in December (buffer of orders from the announcement weekend) and January already, expect some lead times. This is why we have decided to limit the number of printers per order to two units only.”

I hope mine is on the front end.

FYI guys, I got notification from chat yesterday that the Mini is delayed and will not ship until the new year  😫

I don’t believe they would put that out in chat without releasing it officially.

Yes, I am.

The Mini makes my retirement dreams possible.  I can see a 40 foot shipping container with 3-4 shelves lined with printers from top to bottom as an enclosure.  I think I could fit 80-100 printers in their to earn money around the clock toward me and my hobbies.

Don't forget the other shipping container full of batteries being fed from the huge solar farm you could fit on your land plus a couple of wind turbines.

You may as well try to make it a little environmentally friendly - Low Eco Printing Extruded Rapidly.

OK, maybe not this choice of words as it spells L.E.P.E.R. 😜

(Sorry Charles, it just came out this way, no offence intended, I fully expect you will get your own back on me some day 😆 ).

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

I do not need it.  I would recommend people wait to freak out until we have full information from Prusa.  Currently, the waitlist timeline still says end of NOV.  It might change, but they have not adjusted it officially.  We do know that anything for sure other than the delay for ones after the portion of the list that can be filled on time (if any).

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread

Late to the party but figured I'd add on.

Ordered a few Mini's as soon as I saw the release, I think about 2 hours after the unveiling. Hoping they work well for PETG but nervous about the bowden setup and the lack of a wrap around fan shroud for what I make. Ideally I'd like to replace all my mk3's with these since some of my original 3's are past 500 days of print time and getting worn out.

Hoping with the small form factor I can fit 3 minis per shelf  vs two mk3's so I can have faster part production. Probably won't bother with wifi for a while until all the kinks are ironed out. It's pretty easy to just start them off the SD card since they just produce the same pieces over and over

@thenore

I don't think that's' what they meant.

I think they were trying to say that NEW orders (i.e. orders placed after, let's say, October 18th) wouldn't ship until Jan 1 due to the huge volume of orders placed that first week.   They are going to start shipping orders at the end of November, so depending on how far they have to be shipped, folks will start receiving their printers in the second week of December.

They already have everything they need to start shipping printers at the end of November, but packing and prepping to ship takes time.  If they can ship 1000 printers a week and they got 4000 orders in the first few days then, of course, new orders wouldn't ship immediately.

I made sure to ask very specific questions for new orders and day 1 orders. I have answers for both.

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread

I ordered mine on Sunday evening after the announcement. I understand the shipping table updated October 21st, 2019 that those orders still will start shipping end of November; however if you ordered on October 21st, you could expect yours being shipped in January 2020.

The Original Prusa MINI will start shipping in just a few weeks – at the end of November. However, as expected there is already a bit of a queue, so orders are expected to be shipped in December (buffer of orders from the announcement weekend) and January already, expect some lead times. I think anyone that ordered after the first 3 days has a long wait.

Yes I agree to this 100% - and thats what I was actually trying to find out via chat. I asked again a few minutes ago, and they said the schedule was correct, but orders after the first 48 hours could be delayed.

So, essentially, next thing we hear from Josef will be confirmation "Yes, we have stocked up." followed by "We just had not expected stock to be depleted in first 48 hours." Gotcha. 😎
