I only have the smooth sheet, it's wonderful.  What kind of prints do you use the rough sheet for?

I have used the textured sheet for many print.  I prefer it for anything that needs glued.  For the rest, it is just preference.

-1.1 with smooth sheet.  1st layer and bed adhesion is always my issues.  Old eyes have a hard time seeing the gap.  -1.1 seems to be working, and I didn’t want to go any lower...

what is the wrench and lube for?  Didn’t see instructions for either?

Printing some Christmas ornaments while I continue working on my Rocinante Model v2.

Fun watching the Rick & Morty Portal swirling on the back of the stepper motor.

@milehigh3der

You will need to lubricate the bearings and rods periodically.

The wrench is to remove PTFE connectors and nozzles.

@frankincell

Many thanks for your suggestions, my belts feels tight, not super tight just not lose. My air flow I can not really change that.

But I forgot to mention one point and it was when I came and saw the mess. The Benchy was no longer attached to the bed any longer. Looking under it I think I did not lower the Z enough comparing to https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/first-layer-issue-7/#post-187006 Therefore it did not stick enough in the end of the print and got lose.

Have to do some more test prints I guess have done one but not the benchy and it turn out well. Doing a new benchy and testing the filament sensor also this time. Since is it not good practice to change more parameters between each test?! 🙂

@clemens-m

I wrote myself a watchdog (Prusadog I call it). I get notification every time a change I care about happens. So not a big deal 🙂

Confirmed for me it was the Z-layer height (around -0,900), the Benchy worked perfectly.

Filament sensor work also really good.

There was a new update of the shipping table ( https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/shipping-information_2297#estimates-shipping-table-for-original-prusa-mini ). It seems like the shipping dates didn't change, which could indicate that production rates are at a steady level now.

That was my problem - couldn't figure out how to enter my order. But my shipment isn't expected until April, so no hurry.

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread

Got mine delivered this morning and I'm running into weird issues with print files.

From the looks of it there are some (really low) limitations on how long file names can be - lower than the FAT32 LFN standard - and additional crippling length restrictions if you put files into folders and subfolders. To note, I'm using a similar folder structure and file naming on my MK3S where it all works well. Only the Mini tilts. It would list the files just fine, it will also display correct single file info (image, estimated print time etc.) but once you press start the printer won't do anything other than keeping the nozzle/bed temp up and spin the hotend fan. Stays frozen at 0% progress and nothing moves.

I've contacted support, they passed the info on to the developers. Hope they fix that soon. I have way too many print files to throw them all into the root folder of the file system so the current state is pretty unusable for me.

I've also asked them why there is no filename scrolling like in the i3 firmware...

@k9bub

I will only use prusament from now on. I tried some Filafil filament two different colours and they both jammed inside the Bowden.
