RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!

One other data point here.  The ordering of the 'Recent Posts' by last post date/time appears to have broken.

I just made a reply to a user having issues with PC Blend, and it appeared on page 4 of the Recent Posts as opposed to page 1, as fresh replies used to.

I've seen that also...

just another thing that bugged me: you get an email with the following contents:

Hello Oxygen! New reply has been posted on your subscribed topic - Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!. RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!

should that not be:

Hello Oxygen! New reply has been posted on your subscribed topic - General discussion, announcements and releases RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!

or is that my OCD kicking in... 😀

I hope the Thingiverse virus hasn’t spread to this site now, which so far had been a bastion of reliability....

Number of notices received: 11

Yes, I did a check for new prints on Thingiverse earlier today, and it came up empty.

The issue with empty forum links is nothing new. I experienced it from day one. Most likely it happens more often if the server is under load. From the user experience it’s purely random.

Often linked posts:

No harm meant, but innovations often bring new problems. That's the reason why I leave my MK3 now finally with the 3.8.1, after I had a lot of problems with all 3.9.x versions. It may be old-fashioned and out of date, but I don't change a running system anymore. I simply don't have enough time to test unfinished releases and document the errors, especially if you don't receive feedback.

Some of the links in email work and others do not.  I cannot figure a trend.

Here's something I just noticed WRT the ordering of messages by time in the 'Recent Posts' section.

Note that the last post in the thread was 2 hours ago and the header of the message shows last post 14 hours ago.  Something is failing to update the message header last post time in some cases.

sometimes I think it is going to fail because of the previous mentioned wrong grouptopic and it takes a long time to load but then it surprises me by loading the right page...

My stats were just as grim:

15 notices received and only 4 were of the working kind and helpful kind 🙂 I think PR wants to teach us how to use the search function and browse and browse to find the updated posts in the forum. I have already posted a DM to shane asking him for a due-date for the fix but have not received an answer from him. I do not mind doing the search thing every day but it is getting tedious...

Please Santa; give us a fully functional PR forum 🙂

I am noticing atleast some connect now, but I have to agree that is it a low number and I cannot find a trend.

Currently, almost every recieved link is dead.I also receive emails to current posts which are positioned far back in the forum sites.
I have deactivated all subscriptions, because i can not work properly and the received emails only flood the mailbox.

What can we expect for the future 🙁 ?

the answer to your question is in your footer:

You're probably right! You have to live with what things offer, even if it is sometimes modest 👍 !

Welcome, You have reached one of the best information hubs about 3D printing (and other stuff) people are friendly and helpful. You will like it here, but sometimes things go not as planned (see my bickering an moaning about defective email notifications that impacts my workflow of reading an average 500+ news items a day)

what made you decide to register, and step out of the shadow of being a lurker 🙂

merry Christmas and safe and healthy new year.
