SPINDA finally back in stock

I’ve been able to manage without it for a year(I ordered mine in the first 12 hours). But from what I’ve read from others this should solve many of the issues I have been battling.  Looking forward to always using the full 180x180 bed.

They went fast.  I luckily checked my email in the morning and got it ordered.  It shipped today.

I think I have had the mini now for 366 days.  I have had the SPINDA for 2 days.  Big improvement, I think I got used to all the quirks and just pushed through it as I trouble shot it.  I have had some good prints with it, but anytime I touched it, or changed the sheet from smooth to textured. It usually meant an hour or so getting back into shape to print.  Only had to wait 364 days. 🙂

@jaydubblazer

I am not sure I see any improvement.  I have 4 with 1 SPINDA.  I just see no major change.

I don’t think it’s magic, and if you were printing before you might not see any big change.  I guess my metric I am basing the improvement on is the fiddling to get it tuned in on a print.  After wrestling with it to install the new inductive sensor I didn’t have to go crazy to get the z perpendicular to the x.  I didn’t have to go back and forth on my z-offset to compromise on a good first layer.  I am not as hesitant to go from pla to petg because I have to change sheets.

I've also only had it for two days so it can still go to crap.

I totally agree, as said before @cwbulit, your mileage may vary, but maybe that is your environment, filament or even skills -- but it unhelpful to blab into the forum that you think the user must be doing something wrong because you do not have the problem -- that is unhelpful!

I have the same result as @jaydubblazer, I had overcome my minda issue by pre-heating the probe for 90 seconds before every print  but that stopped having the result needed for a good first layer. and with the SPINDA+ all issues with the first layer for me (and others in the forum are gone)

my 2 cents

Mini with FW:4.4.1 + SuperPINDA + Bondtech Heatbreak + PC4-M8 couplers + 1 piece boden

I installed my SuperPINDA a few days ago and haven't had to change the Z since. I've done at least a dozen prints since then. I used to change the Z before every print.

And again but you can also buy from eBay for $58 plus 4.90 shipping - what a rip-off!
